Good morning. I would like to share some suggestions based on my experience using the Mallet to extract mandibular third molars. This case is from last week. In my opinion, beginning with the Mallet is completely ineffective in this situation and only bends the tips.
I now create an osseous access around the entire crown with a round bone bur, test mobility with an elevator rather than the Mallet, and apply a few Mallet impulses to the roots only after creating the bony access. I section the crown using an excellent 30 mm NTI bur included in Luca Boschini’s kit, remove the crown and then extract the roots easily with the Mallet.

Buongiorno io invece vorrei dare qualche dritta in base alla mia esperienza di estrazione con il Mallet di 8 vi inferiori ! Vi mostro un caso della settimana scorsa, dove all’inizio a mio parere, é completamente inutile partire con il Mallet, piegate solo le punte ! Io ormai faccio una breccia ossea tutta intorno alla corona con una ossivora a pallina, tasto la mobilità con una leva piuttosto che con il Mallet, eventualmente qualche colpo di Mallet sulle radici ma solo dopo la breccia ossea, taglio la corona con una fresa fantastica NTI ( 30 mm di lunghezza ) presente nel Kit di Luca Boschini, rimuovo la corona e solo dopo le radici le tolgo agevolmente con il Mallet ! Queste sono le mie impressioni ! Buona giornata a tutti
