Yesterday I treated two more molars surrounded by extremely dense cortical bone. In such cases, the Mallet alone is not sufficient; using it risks bending the thinner tips. For the second molar, I did not even attempt to use the Mallet initially. I first created ample space around the tooth with a bur, then used the Mallet. That is when it works effectively.

Ieri altri 2 molari …circondati da osso corticale veramente tosto ! Purtroppo quando é così il solo Mallet non basta…si rischia solo di piegare le punte piu sottili …al secondo molare non ho nemmeno provato il mallet all’inizio! Fresa a creare spazio intorno al dente ( ma un bel po ) e poi andare di Mallet ! Allora si che funziona!
