Narrow ridge at 26: split crest and mini sinus lift through a single crestal incision

2 messages · In conversation order

Good morning, everyone. Here is an example of how the Mallet makes life incredibly easier. An 83-year-old patient lost the terminal abutment because of caries. We decided to section the bridge and leave a cantilever unit, because it was impossible to place an implant at site 25. An implant at 26—but how? The ridge was narrow anyway!

Buongiorno a tutti. Cresta Comunque stretta!

We proceeded with an implant at site 25, using split crest and a small sinus lift through a crestal incision alone. The sequence was SPLIT tips, Cut, then BR 1–2–3. A 3.8 × 10 mm implant with a 3.3 mm neck was inserted below the crest, with a small crestal sinus lift of a couple of millimetres. Editorial clarification: the final implant site is 26; the original message states 25.

Procediamo con un impianto in zona 25 con split crest e minirialzo con la sola incisione in cresta. Poi punte SPLIT - Cut e a seguire BR 1-2-3. Inserito impianto 3.8 h10 con collo da 3.3 che viene affondato e con un rialzino crestale di un paio di mm
